My first decal came in the mail yesterday. Well there are three 4ft decals in the set. Problem- still no place to put them.
In my mind, the 2nd bath was going to be "her bathroom" and not just the 2nd bath anymore. It was an afterthought to ask Dustin what he thought of the situation and he, not knowing my idea, stated it should remain a guest friendly bathroom. Hmm.
Now I have 4ft tall powder pink dandelions, seeds falling as if they've been lightly blown by a little girl, and no place to put them.
I have yet to purchase the ones for her "accent wall".

Peeves
What are your "Pet Peeves"?
Lately I notice that I get flustered when people pull out in front of me and I check the rear view mirror to find there isn't a car in sight. Why couldn't they wait?
Also being in the south I've caught several people saying "you welcome" instead of "you're welcome".
Chewing Loudly- ice, potato chips, finger nails (icky!)

Rockin'

Months ago, before we knew the gender, I saw this rocking horse in the background of a TV commercial. I took to the Internet searching for a clip of this commercial, mainly a still frame of the horse. Found it. Posted the picture above on Facebook and begged for help.
Several people took the challenge and the results were unsettling- it was manufactured years ago and is discontinued. This lead me to EBay, Craigslist and Google. Nothing.
Eventually I let it go and came to the understanding that it wasn't ours to have.
At our baby shower last weekend, hosted by my dear friend Erin, my heart was filled with joy when I opened the last present.
It was from all of our friends.Even though I had lost hope in finding a perfect rocker for Avery, they didn't. This rocking lamb is more perfect than we had ever hoped for. It (we do need a name) has a place in Avery's room and I cant wait for our baby girl to have her first ride.
We have the best friends anyone could ask for!

Stuck on Stickers
My latest obsession is wall decals. Yes, big stickers.
There are so many different kinds! These things replace the need for wallpaper, create an accent wall without having to paint and are easy to put up and take down.
We need something to go above the crib and I feel that everyone uses the baby's name so I've been browsing for decals to get the flare I think I need. There's a chance that I've bought a decal already with no home in mind. So I am taking a step back and organizing my thoughts better before swiping the card.
Once I've established a plan, I'll be sure to let you (and Dustin) know.

Partay
(You may or may not think this is funny but it cracked me up. Dustin, don't shoot me.)
I am working away, minding my own business and my stomach is just pounding in all directions. I sent Dustin the following text and it continued from here... Play Boom Boom Pow in the background and continue reading.
"Your daughter is having a party in my abdomen and we weren't invited"
"Party at my placenta"
"Bring your own amniotic fluid"
"No bladder stands, please"
"Stay off the cords"
Feel free to join in!!

Dinner Disaster
Despite the fact that there are now two cooking posts back-to-back, I really am not a fan of cooking.
Last night Dustin and I went to the grocery store because this is a random week that we think we need to cook instead of eating out each night. The trip to the store was a nightmare in itself. Maybe there needs to be a capacity limit on the amount of shoppers allowed into the store at one time. To sum up our trip, Dustin dropped a jar of spaghetti sauce which splattered on nearby shoppers.
By the time we get home, we are pretty darn hungry. I started dinner and Dustin unloaded the groceries. I was preparing fancy burgers from a recipe that I found online. The burgers included bbq sauce, shake-n-bake, onions, eggs, garlic and cheese. To put a healthy spin on things, I picked up ground turkey for the burgers. (I've never cooked with this before) It was a nasty concoction to mix so Dustin mixed then I made 5 patties.
The directions said you could fry or grill the burgers. We fried 3 but couldn't tell if they were done because 1. I dont know what color ground turkey turns to when cooked and 2. the bbq sauce and shake-n-bake distorted the coloring of the meat. So we popped these in the microwave and grilled the other 2. Same problem. Dustin stuck all 5 into the microwave just for good measure.
With great reluctance, we each took bites of a burger. I'm not sure if the fear of not knowing if the meat was done or the bland taste was the deciding factor, but we tossed the burgers. PB&J for Avery and me while Dustin made a Roast Beef sandwich.
Tonight I'm making a pizza, with turkey pepperoni.
